KAAST knee mills are engineered with a heavy-duty MEEHANITE cast iron base — the same high-rigidity material standard on premium Bridgeport-style milling machines. All guideways are coated with Turcite B® for long-term wear resistance, and the XYZ slideways, table, and T-slots are hardened and precision-ground. Box ways on the Y-axis and column deliver the smooth, accurate movement that manual machining demands. Telescopic steel covers shield the slideway and ball screw from dust and coolant, keeping your knee mill running clean shift after shift.
Precise Spindle Control. Quiet Operation.
The milling head runs on a quiet V-belt drive with infinitely variable spindle speed — no hunting for the right RPM. Automatic spindle sleeve feed with three steps and a micrometer depth stop gives you repeatable, accurate drilling and milling. Spindle braking is handled with a single hand lever, keeping the operator in control without complexity.

DMV VS — Bridgeport-Style Manual Knee Mill The DMV VS is KAAST's direct answer to the classic Bridgeport knee milling machine. Available with box ways, the head swivels ±45° left/right and the upper arm rotates 360° around the column. Variable speed control and rapid travel are available options. Table sizes range from 9" x 49" up to 12" x 58", making the DMV VS a versatile choice for job shops, tool rooms, and educational facilities.
DMVH VS — Manual Knee Mill with Vertical & Horizontal Spindle For shops that need a true combination machine, the DMVH VS offers independent or simultaneous operation of both vertical and horizontal spindles. Ideal for drilling, boring, cutting, and slotting all in a single setup.
