Responsibilities

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support daily office operations. This role is ideal for someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing schedules, communication, and internal processes in a fast-paced environment.

You will work closely with all departments—including leadership, sales, and service—playing a key role in coordinating service activities, maintaining organization, and supporting overall business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

CNC Machinist & Machine Technician - Philadelphia, PA

Perform machine setup, installation, and commissioning
Provide customer training on CNC equipment and controls

Service Technician - Philadelphia, PA

We are seeking a hands-on Machine Tool Service Technician (shop and field) to join our Philadelphia team. This role involves maintaining, machine troubleshooting, and repairing a variety of machine tools to ensure optimal performance and safety. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, experience with mechanical and electrical systems, and excellent problem-solving skills.

Tasks & Responsibilities

Prepare machines for shipment to end users.

Travel typically accounts for less than 50% of the position. As KAAST continues to grow and expand, the ideal candidate should be flexible and open to seasonal fluctuations in travel as needed.

Pay: $20-$50/hour.

Service Technician - Chicago, IL

We are a collaborative, team-oriented company, with our Schiller Park, IL office serving as a key service and showroom hub near O’Hare International Airport.

We are seeking a hands-on Service Technician to join our Schiller Park, IL team. This full-time, in-house position is based in our Chicago warehouse and showroom, with occasional travel (typically under 30%) for customer installations, service calls, and major industry trade shows.

Tasks & Responsibilities

Inside Sales Engineer (Los Angeles, CA)

KAAST Machine Tools is a rapidly growing international machine tool distributor. We offer sales and service of high-quality CNC and conventional chip making equipment such as mills, lathes, saws, and grinders. KAAST also offers a complete line of fabricating equipment including press brakes, shears, angle and plate rolls, and lasers.

Sales engineers must be willing to reach out to warm and incoming leads, analyze and review applications, and quote KAAST equipment in a timely manner. Travel is limited to about 10% and consists of 2-3 tradeshows per year. This position is primarily inside sales, however, KAAST has a company culture that gives our sales engineers the flexibility to visit customers and create strong long-lasting relationships with them.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for finding and identifying leads through a variety of sources. Once leads identified, this candidate will reach out and meet with the business’ decisions makers to better understand their business needs and how our product could help them.

Our flagship warehouse is located in Philadelphia, PA, followed by our warehouse in Chicago, IL. We will be expanding in the near future with a warehouse in Los Angeles. To start this process, we need inside sales engineers that work remotely from home to begin creating relationships.

We are looking for a remote Inside Sales Engineer in Los Angeles, CA with the following skills:

Careers in Our Service Department

KAAST Machine Tools is always looking for career Service Technicians / Machine Builders / Machinists for our warehouses.

The service department careers are responsible for installing and repairing our chip-making and fabrication machinery. This includes assembly, testing, and repair as well as customer machine demos, installation, and troubleshooting. The best people for this department enjoy working with their hands, interacting with and educating customers, and thinking outside the box.

This career position requires occasional travel but is primarily based in our warehouse/showroom. We do attend IMTS, Fabtech, and other industry tradeshows, occasionally requiring techs to travel a few times a year; and we do provide installation across the country for large machines. In general, typically our service department travels less than 20% of the time.

The majority of our customer interactions are phone based. In order to assist customers in troubleshooting equipment it is required to have the ability to communicate clearly over the phone.

Careers in Our Inside Sales Department

KAAST is always looking for superstar inside sales professionals for our wide line up of fabrication and chipmaking equipment.

As the first point of contact with new and existing customers, the sales department careers are responsible for the overall growth of our customer relationships. A large portion of the day is spent reaching out to customers (potential and returning) via email and phone to both prospect on new deals and follow up deals currently in progress. The quote writing process involves determining the best machine for the customer’s applications, utilizing our CRM to quote said machinery, and especially tracking follow up correspondence. Specifically, experience with inside, phone based, capital equipment sales is required to be successful in this position. This is an in person, in office M-F careers position.
