The C-Turn CNC Teach Lathes are teach-in toolroom lathes, with the ability to repeat long strings of directions for multiple reproductions, saving significant time and money.
Control Panel
The Fagor 8058i/A TC Control Panel provides a conversational programming interface that does not require the user to have any prior CNC programming or G-Code background. However, for those who wish, PLC and ISO (G-Code) are both fully integrated. These CNC teach lathes also offer electronic hand-wheels for manual operation via the simple and easy DRO mode. CNC teach lathes can write programs while they are run manually, allowing expert manual machinists to write G-Code in real time for later recall.
Head Stock
The headstock of this CNC Toolroom Lathe is manufactured from thick-walled heavily-ribbed casting to provide a smooth and quiet turning machine. All gears and shafts are precision hardened and ground accordingly for their best performance. High tensile Meehanite iron is used for all castings for maximum vibration dampening.
All slideways and drive elements of this CNC toolroom lathe are automatically lubricated and the undersides of the saddle, as well as the cross slide, are simultaneously coated with Turcite-B to ensure accuracy and long life of these CNC teach lathes. The forced lubrication and oil bath are combined in the headstock, prolonging machine life and smooth operation.
Other Features
The main spindle bores on these CNC Toolroom Lathes range from 3"- 14" diameter. The precision machined spindles are carburized and ground CR-MO alloy steel from a large one-piece forging. Additionally, double chuck systems are also available. The three-point support on the spindle with two taper-roller bearing and one roller bearing assures accuracy and rigidity. Optional automatic tool changing systems (H4, V8, or V12) on these teach lathes provide high performance and also high production with flexible and accurate tooling which is optimized to meet the most demanding job schedule. These CNC teach lathes also includes a built-in tool library for easy management of tools.
